The Fox Creek Farm Tour - 1st Floor

Welcome to the Fox Creek Farm house tour. Fox Creek Farm was my first miniature dollhouse ever. I bought the house on a complete whim from our local hardwood store in January 2020 and have spent the past year decorating and finishing it. I made many mistakes, learned a lot and had so much fun along the way.

Although I say this house is technically “finished” I’m not sure a mini house is every really finished. There is always something more to do, something to add and something to change, but as of this moment, this house as close to “finish” as it can be. :-)

My mini cat Lily will be your guide during this tour and first up on this tour is the living room. For this room I took my first attempt at making an upholstered sofa and chair from extra linen fabric I had in my sewing stash, and I am pleasantly pleased with how everything turned out, especially the chair. Since making these pieces I have been creating more upholstered furniture and I have to say that even though they take an entire day or more to make, I truly enjoying the process of making them. So stay tuned for my latest sofa and chair creations!

Now onto the kitchen. This kitchen has had many changes in its short life. I originally started with light blue cabinets before swapping them out for a gorgeous custom kitchen I had made. The custom kitchen eventually moved to my Hillside Manor house and the latest look is this more farmhouse country white kitchen which I think fits more perfectly with the look and feel of this house.

In the next post we’ll head up to the 2nd floor.

See you there!
